• 12 Days of CSS-mas was in full swing for the majority of this time period. Catch up with everything at once with the #12DaysOfCSSmas tag on my site or at my CodePen collection.

  • Homework, homework, homework. In Project Management we discussed conflict management/resolution and personal experiences with conflict at our jobs. In Operating Systems we learned about the evolution of operating systems and diagrammed the relationship between hardware and the operating system abstractions of that hardware. Read more here, although honestly not much more than what I just told you. Don’t click the link if you don’t want to, it’s not like I have ads here.
  • Went through 85% of the application process for a Javascript developer position at Trello before I realized that it was one of the few non-remote jobs they have available. Whoops! It wasn’t a waste of time though, because I learned some interesting things about Javascript that I didn’t know previously and I networked with someone from Trello, which is priceless! (I might have “eeeeked” when I got the request on LinkedIn.) Seriously though, if you’re in the NYC area and you want to work for a kickass company that values their users and their employees, apply for the job! Don’t ask me for hints though. =D
  • I hate wrapping. I love rapping, but alas my family isn’t a fan of Miss Anthropik’s phat rhymes.
  • Sent out several job feelers, and even did an interview with a local agency/studio. Once I hear definitive news from them, I’ll reveal more, but for now just cross your fingers.
  • Updated my Good Reads account with some more books that I forgot I read, or in some cases have recently completed. Even with more free time, I still have less time to read. We’re considering getting the Kindle Unlimited plan at Amazon, since it’s device agnostic, but I wish they had an annual fee instead of a monthly one. Also unsure if you can share the benefits like you can with Amazon Prime; I’ll have to look into that.
  • I celebrated my Reddit cake day on December 17. I bet you can’t guess what my username is.
  • My best friend’s newest tabletop game, Treehouse Dreams, is available for purchase for only $10!
  • Pretty much stuff went on hold for the holiday week, as we had lots of family things to get through. Things are starting to get back on track though, just in time for the new year.
